Established in 1985, Echoscan has a proven track record - initially undertaking diving operations for a number of companies in the Far East.

A subsidiary of the Marcus Group of Companies, Echoscan has considerable backing from a group with a nett asset value well in excess of £1,000,000.

Since 1994 the Company has taken steps to strengthen its presence in the UK as diving and marine contractors, to both the Civil Engineering industry and Port Authorities.

The Company is currently undertaking a substantial refit to a 1000 ton vessel that will enable it to operate a heavy lift crane with hold storage (1000 tons) working out of UK waters.

Additionally the Company has recently purchased the MV Scarab, an ex RMAS mooring vessel to undertake a number of smaller contracts currently on the companies books.

The Scarab is currently undergoing a refit that will entail increasing the existing deck craneage to 6 tons and the refurbishment of the accommodation. In addition, it is intended to equip the Scarab with an optional full surface air dive system with a twin man decompression chamber, a "Highball" twin low light colour ROV, side scan sonar and magnetometer.

On completion of its Lloyds Maltese Cross and Lloyds 100 A1, the vessel will be available for immediate charter in late '96 at extremely competitive rates to undertake survey, civil engineering, salvage and mooring duties.
